Four months ago,I made the decision to exercise for the first time in my life and asked Janis to help me. Walking into Janis' gym, I was scared, hesitant and had no confidence or belief in my body. My thoughts were: I was too fat, too clumsy, too slow, unbalanced and could not even entertain the idea of picking up anything off the floor. That day changed my way of thinking forever. I started talking to Janis and told her that I thought I was too fat to exercise. Her reply changed my life. She said..."I was too fat NOT to exercise and now was the time to start taking care of this precious gift that allows us to enjoy our lives". Those words, said with much love and compassion, began a whole new way of thinking and feeling for me.....Now there is no more dimness in my life. Instead, there is an everlasting shining ray of hope that I feed from every time I need to ..... TODAY I AM A BEAUTIFUL STRONG WOMAN!!!!!! I believe in me, I have learned to trust my body.... And that is an awesome feeling!
Janis is an outstanding human being and that is matched by her passion to help women became more healthy, physically, emotionally and in my case spiritually.....

I had been working out with personal trainer Janis McDonald for two years prior to electing to have my plumbing repaired. My surgeon said he wished all his patients were in as good shape before surgery as I was because it enabled me to better deal with the trauma of this major procedure and to recover more quickly as well. I went back to training with Janis in a matter of weeks following surgery and she coordinated my cardiac rehabilitation program with my cardiologist. I'm feeling stronger than ever and I'm a firm believer in the many benefits of fitness training's key role in physical and mental well being as we age."

In my early fifties, I was forced to reassess my physical condition. I was on the verge of entering my “late” middle age in lousy shape. I had back pain and limitation of mobility effecting my quality of life. Like an aging car, my warranty had clearly run out.
It had finally dawned on me that I needed to do something and I was lucky enough to choose Janis McDonald as my trainer.
My wife, Elaine joined me and we embarked on joint customized training programs. We were committed to getting in shape, adding some muscle mass to see us into our “golden” years and improve our balance and flexibility.
Our progress under Janis’ training has been remarkable. We have both benefited immensely. Now at 65, I can say that I am in better shape than anytime since my thirties. My back problem is gone. We are both free of any physical limitations, and feel great leading an active and healthier lifestyle together. All in all, it has been a great success, and even after all these years, we cannot imagine not pursuing my training with Janis
