Hi, I am Janis McDonald, Fitness Coach and during my career I have heard these words so often. Taking the first step may be as simple as asking yourself what you loved to do when you were younger. Was it dancing, team sports, solo activities or outdoor events? Do you need someone to help you begin, keep you from getting injured and make you accountable? Do you like to do your own thing whenever you want too? Do you want to exercise at home, outside or in a gym? Once you have the answer, you are ready to look at all the possibilities that surround you. Join a gym, hire a trainer, create your own team of friends, sign up for a class or buy equipment for the house.
